Porsche 911 (993) GT2 1995
[PORTFOLIOAD2]
One of the best renders I have of this car. Many people seem to like it, and I do too.
I made everything you see in the image, the environment, the textures etc.
It was rendered using scanline and E-Light, the GI faking script.
Polycount is around 750000.
This render featured in EXPOSE 2, on page 113.

Admin Edit: It seemed to match the blueprints quite accurately, as well as look like the few photo's I had. The front spoiler isn't low poly, the little wings aren't low poly. Do you even know what the car looks like? It's a 993 Porsche GT2... This car: http://www.dennisfrick.de/c4d/cgc/911_1.jpg
But then again: it was more than 5 years ago that I made this. :)

And like some others forementioned, the light source is a bit lacking, I see reflection but there should be a hint of the light source coming in.
Other than that, this work deserves to be featured, I think I have that book too.
Oh btw, I'm modelling a 911 atm and this is a nice standard to ai m for, with some help from the tutorials.
Good work
Admin Edit: All your comments are very true and the image could be improved a lot, but once a project is 'done' in your mind, then it's hard to get back and start working on it again. I'd have to re-model everything to be really satisfied.

Only one crit. Maybe use booleans for the GT logo on the back. Apart from that, absolutely perfect.

i particularly like this porsche 993 model and the background u painted, very impressive, especially considering this was 3-4 years ago.
don't pay any attention to any of the arseholes who only come and critisise or who come in and claim theyre better but don't have the balls to link us to their work. u can never get it 100% perfect, the important thing is that u are happy with your work.
keep up the modeling.
