Getronics

Getronics

I made a number of illustrations for Getronics, in the style of their new logo, which was created by Koeweiden Postma. They were used in various booklets, reports, announcements and even their christmas card for 2008.

I modeled a couple of buildings for use in the background of three photo's (the buildings were composited in at a later stage), as well as a hero building, which features more prominently in the first image.

Porcelain

Porcelain

9 print size images were created from sketches: all the objects were made to look as if fabricated from porcelain to emphasize the fragility of all the things important in your life (Eureko is an insurance company).

Printed in the year report for Eureko over 2007, in batch of 10000 copies. Also 200 special editions with an actual porcelain cover (!) were made.
The images were rendered at 5173x3189, 300dpi print size, or double size (10346x6378) so that some post-production cropping could be done.

Project for Koeweiden Postma

All the images as displayed here are slightly different from the ones in the book, due to copyright.

Bugatti Veyron 16/4 Center Console

Bugatti Veyron 16/4 Center Console

Texturing test, which resulted in this project. I tried to make the machined aluminium using a VRay material, and went on from there.
It's sort of an artists impression of the console of the Veyron, no complaints about how it doesn't exactly look like it...

Porsche 911 (993) GT2 1995

The first serious car modeling project for me that went all the way: I finished it and made a couple of different settings.

One of the renders ended up in EXPOSE 2, from Ballistic Publishing!

Alfa Romeo SZ

Alfa Romeo SZ

Modeled this car in 2004, after having trouble getting myself going again for 3D'ing. I was in a real low back then inspiration wise. Obviously another car would be the subject, and a special one this time around: the Alfa Romeo SZ.

BMW E30 325 Coupe

BMW E30 325 Coupe

Highly detailed car model of a BMW 325 Coupe from the early 90's.
I want to go racing myself next year (not streetracing, proper circuit racing) in the dutch E30 unmodified class and to try certain color schemes I needed a model. :)

For a complete description (450+ page pdf e-book) of the modeling of this car, go here.

BMW E30 GT-R

BMW E30 GT-R

A souped up version of the BMW I made a couple of months ago, which was practically standard looking apart from the interior.
On this one I went all out: spoiler and rear of a Mustang GTR, bonnet air intakes of a BMW E46 GTR, side pipes of the Mustang, rear diffuser, Pirelli tires, Mov'it brakes, some additional stickers, rear oil cooler, front intercooler.

It's meant as a streetlegal beast.

Wheels and Tyres

Wheels and Tyres

Basically this whole project was about modeling wheels (rims) and some tyres and make a good studio setup to render them in. And on top of that it was my first serious go at trying to understand the VRay renderer; I had only played with once for 5 minutes but I want to understand it and see the differences from Brazil.

Took me quite a while to get and the lighting and environment just right and after that coming up with some decent materials was quite a tour too.

In the end I found a nice solution for it all and now I can just merge my rim into the studio scene, apply a material from the collection and press render. It saves a lot of time once you have something like this and you are guaranteed satisfying results.

Shelby Cobra GT500 Wheel

Shelby Cobra GT500 Wheel

I was browsing Dieselstation.com the other day to look for some reference photo's of silver cars, when I came upon the following photo of a wheel of a Shelby Mustang GT500, the 2005 GT500 that is. I liked the photo a lot, and thus a couple of days later decided to model it for myself.

Total time spent on the rim and tyre was one day, so 7 or 8 hours, that is including rendering (!).

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII

Modeled this car for a client in the US, who actually owned a white Lancer EVO VIII MR. He wanted to test some ideas he had for his car, before actually applying them.
So I made a couple of different rims, different wheels, spoilers after first making the car like it was at the current state (additional wings, paint on the spoiler etc.), for him to have an idea what it would be like in real life.

Seat Leon WTC 'Bloodcar'

Seat Leon WTC 'Bloodcar'

Re-modeled this car from a model bought at Turbosquid: the front, side, rear spoiler, side windows were all changed to make it look less like the Leon: the end goal of this project was more to emphasize the blood on the car (it was for a road safety campaign in Belgium) than on what car it was.

Modeled this weapon for a client in the US, who wanted to setup a website dedicated to AR-15 enthousiasts, so as to provide information and such.

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione

Built this model of the Lancia, because I absolutely love the car for it's looks, it's raw power, it's style and it's glory. It's by far the most succesfull rally car of all time for instance...

Modeled the car using splines, which on hindsight was a bad idea, but at the time I used that technique. It's not my best model, but it is my first car that I could be proud of.

Kubelwagen Type 82

The first car I ever modeled, it's like 90% primitives, or primitives with modifiers (bend, twist etc.) applied to it. Simple, but it worked in the end, and it's fairly accurate even.

Asics - Running

Asics - Running

Project done as a freelancer, at PostPanic, as part of the PostPanic team.

Our friends at Amsterdam Worldwide asked Mischa to direct an atmospheric spot for the latest Asics running shoe, set to launch this Spring. Filmed by us on location at the Amsterdamse bos, we then performed some CG trickery back at PostPanic.

BWin - Product Journey

Project done as a freelancer, at PostPanic, as part of the PostPanic team.

Bwin had an ambitious idea of how to create a sophisticated product demo to enhance registrations for their site, bwin.com. PostPanic’s Mischa Rozema took on the challenge and developed the futuristic architecturally led on-line world of bwin.com, seamlessly incorporating live action, motion graphics and CGI. Used across a widevariety of platforms, the film will also be broadcast in shorter cutdown versions as television commercials worldwide.

Coca Cola raving flowers

Coca Cola raving flowers

Project done as a freelancer, at PostPanic, as part of the PostPanic team.

A commercial promoting Coca Cola's involvement in Spain's major music festivals during summer 2009. A simple brief from the agency to use some dancing flowers, was taken up by Mischa and expanded into a toy flower rave.

Combining a live action shoot in a derelict train station with high end CG and visual FX, the project was completed in a record 3 week turnaround.

Essent 'State of the Union'

Project done as a freelancer, at PostPanic, as part of the PostPanic team.

Etcetera asked Mischa Rozema to direct the first spot in their new campaign for Dutch energy provider, Essent. The 45 second spot presents Essent's philiosophy and brand values. Mischa's solution was to create a highly creative, apparently 'hand-crafted' visual spot focusing on paper techniques, which combines live action elements with CG and motion graphics.

Holland Casino 'Jackpot' is the first in a series of commercials directed by Mischa Rozema and commissioned by TBWA/ Neboko. PostPanic is also creating the print visuals accompanying the campaign. The spot is currently playing on television screens nationwide.

MTV Rocks

Project done as a freelancer, at PostPanic, as part of the PostPanic team.

As part of the re-branding of MTV's 6 international specialist music channels, PostPanic were asked to create all the idents (8 in total) for new channel, MTV Rocks. Director Mischa Rozema developed a central theme and wrote a set of scripts based in an imaginary landscape populated with surreal characters and situations. Shot on location in Northern Spain, the footage was then brought back for some CG tricke
ry back here in Amsterdam. Massive Music worked on the audio side of things.

Project done as a freelancer, at PostPanic, as part of the PostPanic team.

This is the television spot edited from the first complete on-line film. Directors Mischa Rozema and Chris Staves combined live action, motion graphics and photo-realistic 3d to produce an exhibition space containing a magnetically-driven shape-changing entity which changes form and function to visualise Vodafone's latest product themes for its business customers.

Martini Advertisements

Martini Advertisements

Three advertisements I made after having the idea of the circles radiating from the center of an image, combining this with three stunning women (Bellucci, Beckingsale, Knightley) and colors matching the drinks color, results in these three images. Another reason to put in the three women was because Martini redesigned the bottle and it had become a bit more femininely shaped: it's a 'waist-and-hips-design'.

It's a personal project; I am big fan of the Rosso and Del'oro drinks.
